NYSE Euronext Appoints Philippe Duranton Group Executive Vice President, Global Head of Human Resources

NEW YORK & PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced the appointment of Philippe Duranton as Group Executive Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources, effective March 3, 2008. Mr. Duranton will be responsible for NYSE Euronext’s worldwide human resources organization and will report to NYSE Euronext Chief Executive Officer Duncan L. Niederauer. Mr. Duranton will serve on the Company’s Management Committee.

Mr. Duranton joins NYSE Euronext with over 20 years of experience in global human resources management and development, including senior positions with Gemplus, Vivendi Universal, and Thales. Prior to joining NYSE Euronext, Mr. Duranton served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Cognos, a leader in business intelligence.

Dale Bernstein, Executive Vice President, will oversee the company’s U.S. human resources operation and report to Mr. Duranton. In addition to her human resources duties, Ms. Bernstein will continue to be responsible for the company’s business ethics practice in the U.S., oversee the company’s Archives unit and Corporate Services, and serve as a director of the NYSE Foundation. Ms. Bernstein will serve on the company’s Management Committee.
